Why is there such a big price difference in closed-circuit cooling towers?

Many customers notice a strange thing when choosing a closed-circuit cooling tower: the same specifications, but one manufacturer quotes a few thousand, another quotes over ten thousand - more than double the price.

1. Casing Material Differences

Galvanized steel: Lowest price. But in humid or coastal areas, it starts rusting, peeling, and perforating within 2–3 years.

Aluminum-zinc coated steel: Better corrosion resistance than galvanized steel, but the cut edges are unprotected - they rust quickly after cutting.

Magnesium-aluminum-zinc coated steel: Corrosion resistance 10 times that of galvanized steel. Cut edges self-heal (a protective layer forms automatically). Service life of 10+ years.

304 stainless steel tubes: Strong corrosion resistance. No problem for 10+ years of normal use.

316 stainless steel tubes: Even stronger corrosion resistance. Suitable for harsh environments like coastal areas and chemical plants.

Copper tubes: Best thermal conductivity, but high cost and lower strength. Suitable for special conditions.

3. Bolt Material Differences

Hot-dip galvanized bolts: Low price. Once the coating is scratched, the exposed iron base rusts quickly. After a few years, they can't be removed during maintenance - you have to cut them.

304 stainless steel bolts: Several times more expensive, but they don't rust. Easy to remove during maintenance - saves time and effort.

4. Fill Material Differences
